First Stages

So I was finally able to print my sketch I had done a couple weeks ago!

My very first print was perfect:

had just the right amount of lights and darks

Then the rest were all over the place, except of course, where I wanted them:

I love the textured paper and how it affected the print, but I still have to keep making prints until I can get a small, but consistent edition.

I'm taking an etching class this semester and I'm thinking I want to stick with an ocean/sea life theme because I've become quite enamored by it :)

This was my second attempt at monotype printing and I'm pretty happy with the results:

So I'm hoping for this to be my first copper etch, once we get to it!
